Gen Wilmot
Speech Pathologist
Gen is a passionate Speech Pathologist who has experience working with children of a variety of abilities and backgrounds. As a mum of three young children, Gen understands some of the challenges faced by young families, and blends her personal and professional experiences to create a nurturing, warm and fun environment for the kids and families she works with.
Gen is a trained Inklings facilitator and applies the SCERTS (Social Communication – Emotional Regulation – Transactional Supports) Model to her work.
Gen knows the importance of developing a strong sense of trust and rapport with kids, and is guided by each child's interests and strengths in the clinic room. She has spent time working rurally and remotely across Western Australia, and is committed to ensuring therapy is targeted to not only the individual but also their family, school and social networks. Gen particularly enjoys helping parents and caregivers discover new things about their child's interests and communication preferences.
