Subiaco
The bespoke, state-of-the-art clinic has been designed specifically to meet the needs of autistic children.
Families were involved in focus groups to make sure their needs were built into the design.
The clinic features custom-built seating in the reception including cubbyholes for children to immerse themselves in as well as multiple charging stations for devices. A creche and parent room were important additions to provide specialised supervision of children during parent training or discussions, along with a break-out area to feed and change children as required.
Safety was a high priority with many curved surfaces and hazards out of reach. The clinic has a contemporary and calming feeling with natural tones and patterns, making it an environment that is sensitive to the sensory needs of children.
Joondalup
Located on Joondalup Drive in Edgewater, CliniKids Joondalup has a similar look and feel as the Subiaco clinic, plus free onsite parking and state-of-the-art clinic and research facilities.
It is also conveniently located just a short walk from the Edgewater train station.
