Which CliniKids services can be funded through the NDIS?

Self-managed NDIS participants, Plan-managed NDIS participants and NDIS-managed NDIS participants can all access therapy services and supports at CliniKids.
What if my child does not have an NDIS plan yet?
That's okay. You do not need to have an NDIS plan before contacting us.
Many families choose to access therapy privately while they are:
- Seeking early support while exploring funding options
- Waiting for an NDIS access decision
- Gathering information to support an NDIS application
- Waiting for their first NDIS plan to be approved
If your child is approved for the NDIS, we can help you understand how your funding may be used to access different programs and services that are clinically recommended for your child.
For more information about NDIS eligibility and applying for the NDIS, visit the official NDIS website.

About CliniKids
Does my child need an autism diagnosis to attend CliniKids?
Many of the families we support at CliniKids have autistic children or children with developmental delays, however a diagnosis is not required.
Please note there are two exceptions to this: our Empower-Autism parent coaching program, which requires participants to have a child who has received an autism diagnosis; and the CliniSibs group program for siblings, which requires participants to have a sibling with an autism diagnosis.
Our services and therapeutic approach is based on each child's individual strengths and support needs, rather than diagnosis alone.
Does CliniKids offer autism diagnosis?
No. CliniKids does not provide autism diagnostic assessments. While we offer services for young children including those who have a developmental delay, developmental differences and/or are autistic, we do not diagnose autism at CliniKids.
Our experienced clinical team can support families with referrals, where an autism diagnosis is recommended
Do I need a referral to access CliniKids services?
You do not need a referral from a paediatrician or other health professional to attend CliniKids.
You are welcome to self-refer. Whether you're new to the NDIS or already have an approved plan, we help you understand how your funding can be used to access services that support your child's development.
Which other funding options does CliniKids accept?
In addition to NDIS funding, CliniKids accepts private funding. We can also see children under WA state-funded programs such as the Continuity of Supports Arrangements and the Wanslea Early Childhood Approach (ECA) schemes. Some CliniKids services may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid referral or Medicare-funded care plan. Families can also utilise their private health insurance at their discretion.
