CliniKids is committed to helping to support families and help them achieve their goals.
Part of that is developing autism resources to assist families and caregivers in their everyday lives.
This includes handy fact sheets, which are available for families to download, that cover off on everyday activities such as sleeping, mealtimes, toileting, challenging behaviours and more.
The What is autism? page includes a definition of autism, the characteristics of autism, how autism is diagnosed and potential causes of autism. It also contains a short video featuring CliniKids Director Professor Andrew Whitehouse discussing autism and how early support and evidence-based therapies can help all children reach their full potential.
The neurodiversity page includes definitions of neurodiversity as well as a guide to neuroaffirming language.
