Unpacking PACT - Katie's story

PACT is a program for caregivers of children who would like some additional support to understand their child’s communication.

Do you want to learn and understand more about how your child communicates with you and others?

Mum Katie did and four years after completing the PACT program at CliniKids, she is still using the strategies she learned daily. Find out more about Katie’s PACT experience and the lasting positive impact the program has had on her family’s everyday lives in this new video.

Did you know that PACT was recently recognised as evidence-based practice in the National Guideline supporting the learning, participation, and wellbeing of autistic children and their families in Australia? Here are some of the benefits:

  • Long-term positive outcomes in social communication
  • Improvements in a child’s social communication skills
  • Helps with challenges associated with repetitive behaviour and restricted interests
  • Beneficial for children across a range of communication levels
  • Supports caregivers to recognise and respond to their child communication
  • Supports the child’s development and self-expression
  • Flexible delivery methods including telehealth or in clinic
  • Backed by high-quality research

Discover more about PACT here or speak to your child’s clinician at your next session.
