Information hub

Here you'll find a wealth of information and resources to help support your child.

Welcome to the CliniKids Information Hub where you will find a host of autism information to help support your child and family.

From the hugely popular award-winning 60 Second Science video series on current autism research, and blogs that aim to provide practical and evidence-based autism advice, families will find informative, science-backed information to help them navigate their child’s autism journey.

Written by members of our clinical team including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Psychologists, the blogs cover topics such as how to support your child’s communication, how to build emotional regulation skills, play time, advice for transitioning to school, supporting siblings of autistic children and much more.

On the What is autism? page you’ll discover the characteristics of autism, and how autism is diagnosed.

Another handy autism resource are the fact sheets. These digital resources cover off on everyday activities - eating, challenging behaviours, sleeping, toileting - and are available to download.

Our video section has been broken down into research, clinical and 60 Second Science categories. The research videos give a rundown of the autism research studies we are currently recruiting for, while the clinical ones show how our different clinical services – occupational therapy, psychology, and speech therapy – operate at CliniKids.

Our News and Events page is regularly updated with happenings in the CliniKids clinic, plus information on how to be involved in our current autism research.

At CliniKids, we put research into practice with the aim of supporting all autistic children. One of the ways we do this is by bringing the world’s best evidence-based therapies to Australia – and also to clinicians via our training programs. In addition, CliniKids hosts a range of parent and family workshops, groups and webinars to build capacity within families.
